Somali Youth Development Resource Centre successful application to the City Bridge Trust

Inspiracion has provided fundraising support to Somali Youth Development Resource Centre (SYDRC) to successfully raise £73,500 over three years from the City Bridge Trust towards the salary and associated running costs of a programme to develop the leadership skills of young Somali people and other young people in the London Borough of Camden.

 

London Somali Youth Forum supported to become a registered charity

Inspiracion has supported London Somali Youth Forum to register as a company limited by guarantee and as a incorporated charity.

London Somali Youth Forum is unique in London as the only youth-led Somali infrastructure organisation that brings together representatives and youth organisations from across the capital. This uniqueness has enabled London Somali Youth Forum to develop effective partnerships with other Somali organisations London wide as well as develop good working relationships with key agencies and stakeholders working to tackle key social issues affecting young Somali people.

Pro-bono support for Choice Cambodia

Inspiracion is providing pro-bono support and advice to Choice Cambodia to enable them to become a registered charity.

Choice Cambodia is a Non-Profit organisation, founded by expatriates in late 2006.  The team are all volunteers living in Phnom Penh striving to make a difference to the extremely poor and disadvantaged people of Cambodia.

NCVO Approved Consultant 2010

Inspiracion are delighted to be an NCVO Approved Consultant once again. The National Council for Voluntary Organisations operates a stringent selection process for consultants, from all disciplines, who wish to offer services to the voluntary sector to their standards and with their approval. NCVO approved status means that a consultant or consultancy has demonstrated a commitment to providing a high quality service.

Consultants are assessed against five standards:

  • Operational standards: NCVO Approved Consultants  demonstrate a commitment to providing a high quality service and have clear policies on client confidentiality, a commitment to diversity and an established code of practice and ethics.
  • Contract capability: NCVO Approved Consultants  have the personnel, the expertise and the resources to deliver a high quality service on any work they contract for.
  • Delivery process: NCVO Approved Consultants plan the delivery process of each piece of work, with effective procedures and systems for achieving a positive outcome.
  • Delivery and output evaluation: NCVO Approved Consultants actively seek feedback on both the process and the outcomes of their work.
  • Continuous improvement: NCVO Approved Consultants know their strengths, are self-critical, and seek to develop themselves and their services, taking into account the views of users and clients.

Park Royal Partnership Community Action Day 2008

Inspiracion project managed the successful Park Royal Partnership Community Action Day 2008 enabling over 125 company volunteers to contribute their time to community organisations in West London.

Somali Community Centre raise £120K for older Somali people in Camden

Inspiracion has successfully fundraised £120K for the Somali Community Centre from the London Borough of Camden commissioning process for provision of an information advice, advocacy and outreach service for older Somali people in Camden.

Ethiopian Community in Britain supported to fundraise £50K

Inspiracion has supported the Ethiopian Community in Britain to fundraise £50K from the City Parochial Foundation. The City Parochial Foundation has provided funding towards the salary and associated costs of an Enterprise Worker. The Ethiopian Community in Britain will assist refugees and migrants to develop self-employability skills and support the establishment of small businesses/enterprises.

Ethiopian Community in Britain provides advice, information and training for refugees and migrants experiencing poverty and unemployment in London.
