Associate Consultant: Cathy Norris
Cathy Norris has extensive experience of working in both local authorities and the voluntary sector and of research and evaluation. Cathy is familiar with using a range of interview techniques and conducting telephone and postal surveys, workshops and focus group
Cathy always aim for high standards and strive to provide the best possible service to my client. She has a passion for tackling poverty, alleviating suffering and providing good quality information for all.
Cathy's consultancy experience includes working for grant giving trusts, conducting evaluations, business planning and fundraising for voluntary groups. Cathy carried out a user review of Macmillan’s Directory of Information Materials for people living with cancer. She has worked for a range of organisations including the Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, The Roundhouse, The Big Lottery and the London Borough of Haringey.Cathy has experience of working in managerial roles in the voluntary and statutory sectors serving multi-cultural areas with significant deprivation. This includes managing a voluntary sector community centre; heading up a neighbourhood renewal community development work team and a housing regeneration consultation and engagement team. She is experienced in all aspects of grants giving, service reviews, community development and organisational capacity building. Cathy also has substantial experience of working with the voluntary advice sector and have carried out an evaluation of advice services for the London Borough of Camden.
More recently her work has focussed on housing regeneration strategy and practice, including conducting a strategic consultation across 33,000 households and developing a local approach to estate based regeneration consultation and engagement.
Cathy has a BA (Hons) in the History of Modern Art, Design and Film Studies, a Post Graduate Certificate in Community and Youth Work and am a Prince 2 project management practitioner. She believes in lifelong learning and self-development and continue to take up training opportunities: selection interviewing; customer care; management training modules.
