inspiracion was founded by Mick Denton and has been built on the successes and achievements of over 20 years working in the charity, voluntary, private and public sector, both as a freelance consultant and in paid employment.

Mick has extensive experience of working in both the voluntary, public and private sector, in particular working with voluntary sector organisations and disadvantaged groups to develop their capacity and achieve their full potential. Mick’s consultancy work has included:

• Developing the capacity of voluntary organisations and groups to enable them to achieve their full potential through engagement, facilitation and strategic planning
• Development of business and strategic plans, with an emphasis on clarity and clearly defined outputs and outcomes
• Providing interim and project management for local infrastructure organisations, with a focus on implementing good practice and governance
• Track record of fundraising from competitive funding streams, both nationally and at a European level
• Implementing effective financial and monitoring systems for ensuring organisations meet funding requirements and achieve sustainability
• Using facilitation and community involvement in problem solving and decision-making
• Working with and establishing partnerships and networks at a local, national and European level, especially in the area of European funding
